Otto: 6 Months

As the Andy William’s song goes “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” And for me it’s my favorite time of the year. From the family gatherings, to driving around looking at the lights, the house filled with decorations, the cookies, the traditions, all help to make this time special! But I think the thing that always makes me really excited for this time of year is all the memories I have of it.

When we shot Otto’s six month session just under a week ago, it was so great to be shooting in their house with their family, in a place where they are making their own Christmas traditions and memories.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Otto: 3 Months

Photography is about a single point of a moment. It’s like stopping time. As everything gets condensed in that forced instant. But if you keep creating these points, they form a line which reflects your life.

I couldn’t think of a better quote to describe my professional relationship with the Snyder’s. October marked are 5 years of working together, and I know I’ve gone into details of it throughout numerous blog posts in the past, but it has truly been special to be the one capturing these moments (or points) over the years.

Otto: Lifestyle Newborn

It’s been almost five years since I started working with the Snyder’s. They’ve played a major part in growth, as a photographer and I’ve been able to see their life unfold before my eyes and my camera. I’ve been happy to capture so many important milestones for them. From engagement, to wedding, first baby and now their second, Otto.

When I arrived at the Snyder’s house I was greeted first by new big sister Cheyenne and then taken in to meet Otto, wearing his “coolest brother ever” t-shirt proudly. We spent the morning together as I captured every moment and tiny detail I could.

It was an interesting feeling to be walking through their house and see images from all the shoots we’ve done covering the walls and filling every frame. It’s something I usually don’t get to see and a nice reminder of why I love doing what I do.

No matter what crazy idea I've had or what stupid thing I've done my mom has been there to support me and help me get back on the right track. I owe her more than I'll ever be able to repay. She's played a massive role in helping me become the man I am today. I can't describe how thankful I am to have had her and for all of the encouragement throughout the years as I've chased—and continue to chase—my dreams.

As I went out with my sister today (Mother's Day) to take a few maternity photos, I began thinking that I have no doubt she will be a tremendous mother herself having learned from one of the best.

Cheyenne [18 Month]

After completing her first year of photo shoots in March, I met back up with Melissa, Brandon & Cheyenne in late September for Cheyenne’s 18 month photos and her seventh photo shoot with me! She may only be a year and half old but I think it's safe to say she's got this modeling thing down :)
